Description:

MAGLINE Basic is designed to handle the most day to day industrial measurement tasks required in woodworking, aluminium joinery and plastic industries and general manufacturing plant.
With resolutions of 1µm, repeat accuracies of 5µm and guaranteed absolute accuracy of 30µm over any length to 90m.

If you ever used an incremental encoder with PP or LD outputs you already know how to use linear and rotary MAGLINE. The signal outputs are the same except the MSK5000 they include programmable features. SO Easy.
All systems consist of a magnetically encoded strip (with optional protective covers), magnetic sensors, translation modules and display meters with optional RS422 / RS485 interface capability.
Under MAGLINE™ Accessories, profile rails and head carriers complete the offering.

Some of the systems offered, were first introduced several years ago.
Modern systems integrate the magnetic sensor and the translation module electronics, resulting in improved noise performance and longer cable runs. Magnetic readers with integrated translation module are designation MSKxxxx eg MSK5000/1.

Magnetic tape

Measurement starts with making a precision magnetic tape.

The complete system

Linear or rotary magnetic tape, a sensor head and signal processor.

The output signal

The interface signal, Push Pull (PP) or Line Driver (LD) is the familiar format found in traditional incremental encoders. LD models are made with 5Vdc supply or 24Vdc (with internal 5Vdc regulator) supply, which provides higher noise immunity. Some MAGLINE models, such as the MSK5000 are programmable in accordance with. values shown in the data sheets.
