RDP DCTH500C LVDT with captive guided core and extension rod, range ±12.5mm, 4-20mA output.

The popular and versatile RDP DCTH series is available with an unguided core, captive guided core or spring loaded core.
The series features are:
High cycle life
Stainless Steel case and extension rod
High resolution
Voltage or 4-20mA, according to order code.
Powered ±15 to 30Vdc or a floating single ended supply.
option -TM0321A provides moisture sealing for the electronics. Recommended for most NZ applications.
With inbuilt DC electronics this series is very easy to apply with an external DC power supply.
Accessories expand the range of applications making this one of the most versatile general purpose DC LVDT's available.

On an unguided LVDT, the armature assembly is a separate component, to make a measurement the user must guide the armature inside the body without touching the sides. Unguided position measurement transducers are appropriate where external guidance is available, enabling truly non-contact operation.

An RDP captive guided displacement transducer incorporates bearings to guide the armature inside the measurement sensor. Captive LVDTs are recommended for position measurement applications where guidance may be poor and end bearings may be required.

A spring displacement transducer has bearings to guide the armature inside the measurement sensor and a spring which pushes the armature to the fully out position. Spring return LVDTs are appropriate where it is not possible to connect the transducer armature to the moving component being measured.
