 | The RDP Electronics DWT series is a draw wire displacement transducer, 6 models from 600mm to 3500mm. Design for draw wire speed to 2m/s and life cycle of 1,000,000 full cycles.
Simple installation involves bolting down the housing and attaching the draw wire to the moving part, which is to be measured and adjusting span and zero. The output of the draw wire displacement transducer is proportional to the amount of cable pulled out of the unit. The plastic coated steel draw wire is tensioned by an internal spring pack, giving the unit an ability to measure around corners.
The control output of the draw wire transducer can be in the form of a resistance (pot), DC voltage or current loop.
